Fernando de Roa y la defensa del estamento ciudadano

Abstract

este artículo de investigación tiene como objetivo iluminar la figura y obra de Fernando de Roa, profesor de la Universidad de Salamanca en el siglo XV quien detentó la Cátedra de Filosofía Moral y la aclamada Cátedra Prima de Teología, a quien debemos una de las logradas formulaciones de los conceptos de monarquía limitada y principado electivo. Fue Roa uno de los inspiradores del movimiento de las Comunidades de Castilla, abogado de la causa ciudadana frente a las clases populares y a la nobleza de sangre, un claro defensor del sometimiento del rey a la comunidad y su Derecho.

this investigation aims to illuminate the Works and Life of Fernando de Roa, professor of the University of Salamanca who gets the Chair of Moral Philosophy and the famous Chair Prima of Theology, in the XV century, and the person who cares one of the formulations more successful about the concepts of limited monarchy and elective princedom. Roa was one of the political thinkers that inspire the Revolt of Comuneros, an advocate of the civic cause in the face of the working class and the nobility of blood and a clear guardian of the subjugation of the king to the community and Law.
