Las poetas también viajan al Parnaso.Tradición literaria y diferencia de género en la poesía dieciochesca

Abstract

La visita al Parnaso en clave femenina es un motivo que comparten en sus composiciones varias de las poetas españolas de las últimas décadas del XVIII y del período de entre siglos, como Clara Jara de Soto, Gertrudis de Hore y María Rosa de Gálvez. Este trabajo se centra en el estudio de este motivo de amplia tradición poética en varias composiciones de las tres autoras citadas donde adquiere matices novedosos, contribuyendo así a perfilar las vías por las que estas expresan en clave poética su conciencia de excepcionalidad y de marginalidad dentro del espacio literario de su tiempo.

The return to classical literary subjects, such as the writer’s journey to Mount Parnassus, is one of the strategies shared by three Spanish women poets in the last decades of the XVIIIth century and the beginning of the XIXth century: Clara Jara de Soto, Gertrudis de Hore and María Rosa de Gálvez. This paper focuses on the study of the theme mentioned above, the writer’s journey to Parnassus, and its different presentations in the poems written by these three authors. The aim of our study is to show how these women poets express through their verses the awareness of their exceptionality and their marginality within the literary field at the turn of the century.
