Microbetilismo calcolítico

Abstract

En el sur de la Península Ibérica existen yacimientos calcolíticos con colecciones de pequeños guijarros que no parecen herramientas de trabajo. Estas pequeñas piedras aparecen en contextos funerarios. Normalmente son alargadas, y muestran erosión fluvial. A veces conservan restos de pintura roja. Sus rasgos y contextos permiten interpretarlos como microbetilos.

In the south of the Iberian Peninsula there are chalcolithic sites with collections of small pebbles, but these are not work tools. These small stones appear in funerary contexts. They are usually elongated, and show fluvial erosion. Sometimes they preserve traces of red paint. Its features allow and contexts allou interpreting them as microbetyls.
