Abstract

El moderno escepticismo filosófico tiene su origen en la figura cartesiana de un deus deceptor o génie malin, que puede crear ideas en la mente humana. El «engaño divino» puede tener precedentes en la controversia teológica medieval sobre la naturaleza contingente del futuro y el poder de Dios, y particularmente en los comentarios teológicos del dominico inglés Roberto Holkot.

The modem philosophical Skepticism has its origins in the cartesian figure of a deus deceptor or génie malin that can create ideas in the human mind. The «divine deception» may have precedents in the theological medieval controversy about the contingent nature of the future and the power of God, and particularly in the theological commentaries of the english Dominican Robert Holkot.
