Manuscritos Filosóficos Coloniales conservados en el Archivo Nacional Histórico de Santiago de Chile

Abstract

El conocimiento de los manuscritos filosóficos coloniales conservados en el «Fondo Antiguo» y el «Fondo Varios» del Archivo Nacional Histórico se limita casi exclusivamente a su enumeración y ubicación. En algunos casos, se cuenta con una muy breve descripción de los contenidos, identificación de su tendencia filosófica y algunas noticias sobre sus autores. Con la intención de ampliar nuestro conocimiento sobre ellos, hemos intentado aquí, por una parte, detallar en mayor medida la descripción de los contenidos de las obras, y, por otra parte, sistematizar la información que nos entregan los distintos catálogos elaborados al respecto. Para esta labor se han revisado y descrito los contenidos a partir de las microfichas correspondientes y de los manuscritos originales. De este modo, hemos podido corregir algunos errores de ubicación y de contenidos. Con ello, esperamos aportar algo —aunque sea mínimamente—en la construcción de la Historia de la Filosofía en Chile.

Our knowledge about colonial philosophical manuscripts preserved in the «Fondo Antiguo» and «Fondo Varios» at the National Historical Archive is limited almost exclusively to its listing and location. In some cases, there is a very brief description of the contents, identification of their philosophical tendenc and some information about their authors. In order to expand our knowledge about them, we have tried here, on the one hand, to provide a more detailed description of the contents of the works, and, on the other hand, to systematise the information provided by different catalogues. For this work, the contents of the original manuscripts and the corresponding microfiche have been revised and described. Thus, we have been able to correct some errors concerning location and content. We therefore hope to contribute, even minimally, to the construction of the history of philosophy in Chile.
