El Real Jardín Botánico de Córdoba como recurso turístico sostenible desde la perspectiva de género

Abstract

El presente trabajo muestra parte de los resultados del proyecto de investigación sobre el potencial turístico del Real Jardín Botánico de Córdoba (RJBC) en el que se analiza el perfil del visitante y la importancia del lugar como recurso turístico sostenible complementario dentro de la oferta turística de la ciudad. Este capítulo aborda un análisis desde la perspectiva de género, como elemento clave, que ha puesto de manifiesto que varones y mujeres presentan diferencias en sus preferencias, motivaciones y horarios de visitas al RJBC, lo que ha permitido, tras el análisis de los datos obtenidos, contar con información relevante para mejorar la caracterización de la demanda y realizar propuestas de mejora encaminadas a incrementar la afluencia de la población a este recurso turístico, sostenible, accesible y con un gran potencial pedagógico.

This paper presents part of the results of the research project on the tourism potential of the Royal Botanical Garden of Cordova (RJBC) in which the profile of the visitor and the importance of the site as a complementary sustainable tourist resource within the tourist offer of the city are analyzed. This chapter deals with an analysis from the gender perspective, as a key element, which has revealed that men and women show differences in their preferences, motivations and visiting hours to the RJBC, and has allowed, after analyzing the gathered data, to obtain relevant information to improve the characterization of the demand and make improvement proposals aimed at increasing the influx of people to this sustainable, accessible and with a great pedagogical potential tourist resource.
