La situación actual del patrimonio del corazón de la Alpujarra. Heridas abiertas, amenazas y nuevas perspectivas

Abstract

Con esta breve reseña pretendemos hacer un balance general del estado actual del patrimonio alpujarreño en el límite de las actuales provincias de Almería y Granada. Iniciamos este recorrido haciendo una puesta en común de los proyectos e iniciativas llevadas a cabo en las últimas décadas en aspectos relativos a la difusión, musealización e investigación. Luego, denunciamos el estado de conservación de algunos de sus bienes patrimoniales, como las iglesias de Guarros, Paterna y Cojáyar. Concluimos comentando las amenazas presentes sobre el patrimonio material e inmaterial de la Alpujarra, y los desafíos para la conservación de su paisaje tradicional e histórico.

The aim of this review is to do a general assessment of the current situation of the cultural and monumental heritage of the Alpujarra region, in the area between the provinces of Almería and Granada. We begin this article by sharing the projects and initiatives carried out in recent decades in aspects related to dissemination, musealization and research. Then, we denounce the state of conservation of some of its heritage examples, such as the churches of Guarros, Paterna and Cojáyar. We finish the article with the new threats that endanger the conservation of the traditional and historical landscape of the Alpujarra.
