Tapicerías, tapices y reposteros en los interiores domésticos en el Burgos del siglo XVIII

Abstract

En las paredes de los interiores domésticos de Burgos en el siglo XVIII colgaban múltiples enseres y pertrechos con carácter funcional y ornamental, según el caso. De entre ellos descuellan los tapices sueltos, los reposteros y las tapicerías. ¿Cuál fue el devenir de su disponibilidad en los hogares burgaleses a lo largo del Setecientos? ¿Existieron notorias diferencias en su posesión entre las distintas categorías socioprofesionales y entre los diferentes niveles de fortuna?. Dichos enseres constituyen un segmento significativo en el análisis de la cultura material y de la cultura de las apariencias de una sociedad preindustrial y de Antiguo Régimen, hasta el punto de que su disponibilidad estaba sujeta a un poderoso contraste entre los hogares de la ciudad.
