Organización civil del carlismo (1890-1900)

Abstract

En la última década del siglo XIX, el carlismo, dirigido a la sazón por el delegado de Carlos VII, marqués de Cerralbo, fijó la doctrina tradicionalista en el Acto de Loredán (1897), dotando al partido de un instrumento de acción política y desplegó una febril actividad militante, creando Juntas, Círculos y Prensa con el fin de participar en la lucha legal (elecciones). Utilizando como base documental primordial el semanario carlista El Centro {1886-99), se estudia la organización político-civil del carlismo, posibilitada por una política de atracción y se concluye que dicha organización, geográficamente importante en la zona mediterránea y vasco-navarra, se logró a nivel directivo (cuadros dirigentes), pero no en el de participación (integración de amplias capas de población en los Círculos). Una sucinta estadística y la consiguiente plasmación cartográfica explicitan numérica y visiblemente las afirmaciones antedichas.

The Carlism guided, in the last decade of the 19 century, by the Marquis of Cerralbo, delegate of Charles VII th., fixed the tradicionalist doctrine in the Acta de Loredan (1897). Thus, the party was given an instrument of political action and a feverish militant activity was deployed, establishing Meetings, Clubs and Press to participate in the legal fight {elections). Using as a primary and basic document the carlist weekly paper El Centro (1886-99) the political and civil organization of the Carlism is studied here. This organization was made possible by political attaction. Our work points out that this organization, though geographically important in the mediterranean and vasco-navarra zones, only reached a directive level (staff), but not at a level of participation (integration of many social levels in the Clubs). A concise statistics and a cartographic representation shows numerically and in a visible way the former affirmations.
