Una aplicación más de la documentación notarial: vida cotidiana en tiempos de guerra (Córdoba en 1808)

Abstract

Este trabajo es primicia de un proyecto más amplio dirigido al conocimiento de la vida cotidiana en el reino de Córdoba durante las guerras de Sucesión e Independencia, a través de la documentación notarial, sin duda no la única para aquel fin pero, también sin duda, una de las más útiles. A la par que determinar de qué vivían, dónde vivían y cómo vivían los cordobeses en tiempos de conflicto –y en este último ítem, tanto cultura material como inmaterial-, la exhumación y análisis de toda la documentación notarial de las localidades que se determinen, empezando por la capital, permitirá asimismo asentar observaciones concluyentes sobre la representatividad social de la fuente, la especialización notarial y el clientelismo social de los escribanos, por señalar las principales cuestiones, pero también suministrar una base de información muy importante de nombres, lugares y acontecimientos. Entrega primera de ello es, pues, esta aportación, centrada, por razones obvias de efemérides, en el primer año del enfrentamiento mantenido entre franceses y españoles en el reinado de Fernando VII.

This work is the first fruits of a larger project aimed at understanding the daily life of the kingdom of Cordoba during the Wars of Succession and Independence, through notarial documents, certainly not the only one for that purpose but also without doubt a of the most useful. At the same time determine how they lived, where they lived and how they lived in times of conflict Cordoba, and in this last item, both tangible and intangible culture, «the exhumation and analysis of all notarized documentation of the locations to be determined, starting with the capital, will also establish conclusive observations on the social representation of the source, the specialization of attorney and the social patronage of writers, by pointing out the main issues, but also provide an important information base of names, places and events. First delivery of this is, therefore, this contribution, focused, for obvious reasons of anniversaries, in the first year of confrontation between the French and Spanish held in the reign of Fernando VII.
