El mecanismo sintáctico para la construcción de lexemas

Abstract

Partimos de la hipótesis, expuesta ya en algunos estudios que citarnos, de que una de las cosas que hacernos al hablar es construir clasificaciones de la realidad más precisa que la que nos ofrece el léxico de la lengua. Desde diferentes perspectivas —fraseología, morfología, sintaxis- se admite este hecho. Muchas de las explicaciones tradicionales de las funciones sintácticas coinciden con lo que llamamos construcciones léxicas. Finalmente ofrecemos un resumen de los aspectos formales que funcionan como significante de este tipo de construcción.

I depart from the hypothesis, which has been already put forward in some of the cited studies, that one common thing we do when speaking is to construe more precise classifications of reality than that offered by the lexicon of the language. This fact has been admitted from different viewpoints —phraseological, morphological, syntactical-. Many of the tradicional accounts of syntactic functions happen to coincide with what I will cali here lexical constructions. Finally, I offer a summary of the formal aspects that function as sign ifier of this type of construction.
