La inspiración bíblica: Guillaume du Bartas y su influencia en Anne Bradstreet

Abstract

Trabajo que analiza la obra del poeta francés hugonote Du Bailas, que escribió en 1578 un poema épico de 6000 alejandrinos inspirado en el Génesis: La Premiére Sepmaine ou la Création du monde; se trata de un tipo de poesía científica que incluye toda la ciencia cosmológica del Renacimiento y que tendrá una enorme difusión en la Europa de su época, influyendo notablemente en la obra de la poetisa inglesa emigrada a América, Anne Bradstret.

This paper analyses the work of the French Huguenot poet Du Batías, who in 1578 wrote a long heroic poem of some 6000 Alexandrine lines inspired on the Genesis: La Premiére Sepmaine ou la Création du monde. It belongs to a kind of scientific poetry that embraces the whole of the Renaissance cosmological science which made a great impact on Europe in bis time and liad an outstanding influence on the English poet Anne Bradstreet, who migrated to America.
