Obras inéditas y otras notas sobre Manuel Aguilar Guerrero, platero del neoclasicismo cordobés

Abstract

En este artículo vamos a presentar diversas obras inéditas del platero cordobés Manuel Aguilar Guerrero, maestro indiscutible de la orfebrería neoclásica cordobesa. Además se van a dar a conocer otras piezas que hasta hace poco se relacionaban con el artista y se darán nuevas claves para conocer mejor a los orífices de ese momento. Manuel Aguilar Guerrero está considerado el mejor orfebre de las primeras décadas del siglo XIX y autor de obras magníficas, como las dos últimas custodias procesionales de la provincia, situadas en Montilla y Aguilar de la Frontera.

In this article we are going to present diverse unpublished works of the silversmith native of Cordoba Manuel Aguilar Guerrero, indisputable teacher of the neoclassic goldwork cordobesa. In addition there are going to be announced other pieces that even it makes small they were relating to the artist and they will give themselves new keys to know better to the goldsmiths of this moment. Manuel Aguilar Guerrero is considered to be the best goldsmith of the first decades of the 19th century and author of magnificent works, as the last two custodies procesionales of the province, placed in Montilla and Aguilar of the Border.
