Extranjerismos alemanes en la lengua neerlandesa en el siglo XXI. Incorporaciones recientes al Dikke Van Dale

Abstract

El alemán y el neerlandés comparten frontera tanto lingüística como geográfica en el continente. De ahí que en esta investigación se pretenda ver concretamente la reciente influencia de la lengua alemana, con alrededor de 100 millones de hablantes nativos, en el neerlandés, con 23 millones de hablantes como lengua materna. Con la creación de un corpus léxico de extranjerismos alemanes, se intentará dilucidar cuáles son los campos semánticos que más influyen en el neerlandés en la actualidad, enmarcados siempre dentro del contexto histórico que ha ocasionado la aparición de dichos étimos. A partir de la división en campos semánticos se podrá ver qué tipo de léxico ha influido y cuál ha sido el grado de contacto entre ambas lenguas durante los primeros trece años del siglo XXI.

German and Dutch share linguistic and geographical boundaries in the continent. By means of this research, I mean to determine the recent influence of German (100 million native speakers) on Dutch (23 million speakers as their mother tongue). A corpus of German loanwords will be the core to try and clarify the most influential semantic fields on Dutch nowadays. They will be dealt with within the historical context which has originated the appearance of these particular words. Hence, I‟ll be able to determine what type of vocabulary has been influential and which has been the degree of contact between both languages during the first thirteen years of 21st century.
