Ré-écrire le voyage. La fonction de l’intertextualité dans les récits de voyage à Majorque au XIXe siècle

Abstract

Analizaremos en este artículo la función de la intertextualidad a partir de los relatos de los viajeros franceses a Mallorca en el siglo XIX. Los relatos de viaje abundan en citas, referencias o alusiones. Cada una de ella tiene una función narrativa bien determinada en el nuevo texto que la acoge: una función referencial, una función argumentativa, una función poética, una función expresiva y una función crítica.

We analyze in this article the function of intertextuality in the writings of French travellers to Majorca in the XIXth century. Travel writings are rife with citations, references and allusions. All these strategies display a very specific narrative function within the text that encapsulates them, ranging from the referential function, the argumentative function, the poetic function, the expressive function and, finally, the critical function.
