La verdad como “objetividad” en la filosofía de Duns Escoto

Abstract

Más que amor a la verdad, en este trabajo se estudia la concepción escotista de la verdad. Para Es-coto, el objeto pensado es real, causa en la facultad el acto de conocer; por tanto, es previo al acto. La ver-dad consiste en la semejanza del acto intelectivo con tal objeto: objetivismo. En ello se separa del pensamiento medieval precedente (el objeto no es real, sino intencional), es decir, lo semejante a la realidad es el objeto, no el acto. More than love to the truth, in this work we study the scotist ́s conception of the truth. For Scotus,the object known is real, causes in the faculty the act of knowing; therefore, it is previous to the act. Thetruth consists in the similarity of the act of knowledge with the mental object: objectivism. With that the-sis he separates of the previous medieval thought, for which the mental object is not real, but intention-al: the mental object, not the act, is similar to the reality. This scotist ́s thesis is a precedent of the poste-rior theory of knowledge
