Cine, realidad social y educación

Abstract

Con este artículo, se pretende poner en situación sobre la relevancia del cine, y también de las series, como recurso educativo y exponer cómo el séptimo arte es un instrumento cultural que refleja muchos aspectos de la realidad social. Desde sus inicios, el cine se ha proclamado como un poderoso instrumento de aproximación a la realidad del hombre. Las películas no son solo objeto de contemplación para el disfrute y el entretenimiento, sino que, dentro de su amplia variedad, constituyen una representación del mundo que nos rodea: nos informan de la realidad, de la vida, de nosotros mismos. Actualmente podemos hablar del impacto de la cultura de la imagen y, efectivamente, hay que saber sacar partido educativo a los avances culturales de nuestro tiempo. Por ello, la integración del cine en el aula se ha convertido en una necesidad en una realidad en que nuestros alumnos ya son los denominados “nativos digitales”. Si se emplea bien, el cine como herramienta para la enseñanza de cualquier asignatura, permite un avance respecto a la clase magistral, sobre todo en la formación jurídica que peca de excesiva rigurosidad y formalidad.

This article explains the relevance of cinema, as well as in series, as educational resource and to show how “the seventh art” is a cultural instrument that reflects many aspects of social reality. From the beginning, the cinema has been proclaimed as a powerful instrument to approach reality. Films are not only objects of contemplation for enjoyment and entertainment, but they constitute a representation of the world that surrounds us: they inform us about reality, life and ourselves. Currently we can talk about the impact of the culture of the image and, in addition, it is necessary to know how to take educational advantage of the cultural advances of our time. For this reason, the integration of cinema in the classroom has become a necessity in the reality in which our students are already called “digital natives”. If it is used well, the cinema, as a tool for teaching all kind of subject, it allows an advance compared to the master class, especially in the Law Degree which is rigorous and formal.
