Terminología y tesauros: la traducción jurídica de contract, agreement y treaty

Abstract

El presente artículo, ofrece un estudio terminológico dentro del campo especializado de la traducción jurídico-económica en la combinación lingüística inglés-español. Se realiza un análisis de la organización del conocimiento que ofrecen los tesauros de los organismos institucionales para los términos contract, agreement y treaty para concluir en una propuesta de traducción de los términos específicos y topes que se relacionan con los términos en cuestión.

In this article I approach a specialised terminological study within the area of legal-economic translation for the language combination English-Spanish. This survey outlines the knowledge organization offered of the terms 'contract', 'agreement' and 'treaty' by Institutional Thesaurus. A translation proposal represents the final part of this paper, and it sets out the narrower terms as well as the top terms of the concepts involved.
