Las instituciones públicas y el coleccionismo privado. La Universidad de Córdoba y Pilar Citoler

Abstract

La relación institución pública / coleccionista privado, su gestión y sus consecuencias los hemos estudiado tomando como referencia a la Universidad de Córdoba, a la coleccionista Pilar Citoler y al PBIFCPC (Premio Bienal Internacional de Fotografía Contemporánea). La metodología utilizada -tipo de investigación, sujetos, instrumentos procedimiento y análisis de datos-, nos ha dado las herramientas necesarias para alcanzar los objetivos y resultados que pretendíamos. Situar nuestro trabajo en el ámbito del coleccionismo público y privado en España, teniendo en cuenta el soporte legal vigente, supone optar por ampliar la visión que ofrecemos de la colaboración UCO/Citoler. Igual ocurre con las aportaciones de galeristas, críticos, fotógrafos y agentes culturales, que hacen que profundicemos en nuestro estudio. La gestión cultural en la Universidad de Córdoba aplicada al premio Citoler es uno de los puntos fundamentales de nuestro trabajo. Hace comprender las vicisitudes de las relaciones que planteamos (acuerdos con instituciones, financiación organigramas y diagramas de flujo y mercadotecnia), y dan una visión de los pasos a seguir para la gestión de este proyecto, aunque estas pautas pueden aplicarse a proyectos similares. Todo lo ya expuesto no tendría sentido si no analizáramos la historia de las diez primeras ediciones de esta colaboración, reflejadas en el PBIFCP: origen, bases, jurados, imagen del premio, seleccionados, ganadores, participantes por género y país, etc., pues son consecuencia oficial del premio. En definitiva, la relación UCO/Citoler ha tenido unos resultados que son analizados en las siguientes páginas y conforman los resultados que referimos en nuestro trabajo, el cual concluye con un estudio de los puntos fuertes y débiles de este proyecto cultural.

We have studied the public institution / private collector relationship, its management and its consequences taking as reference the University of Cordoba, the collector Pilar Citoler and the PBIFCPC. The methodology used - type of research, subjects, instruments, procedure and data analysis - have given us the necessary tools to achieve the objectives and results we intended. Placing our work in the field of public and private collecting in Spain, taking into account the current legal support, means choosing to expand the vision we offer of the UCO/Citoler collaboration. The same happens with the contributions of gallery owners, critics, photographers and cultural agents, which make us delve deeper into our study. Cultural management at the University of Cordoba applied to the Citoler award is one of the fundamental points of our work, which makes us understand the vicissitudes of the relationships we propose (institutional agreements, financing, organizational charts and flow diagrams and mecadotechnics), and gives a vision of the steps to follow to manage this project, although these guidelines can be applied to similar projects. Everything already stated would not make sense if we did not reflect the history of the first ten editions of this collaboration, reflected in the PBIFCPC: origin, bases, juries, image of the award, selected, winners, participants by gender and country, etc., are the official consequence of the award. Without the UCO/Citoler relationship there have been other consequences that make up the results of this relationship, which without it would not have taken place, and which we refer to in our work. The study of the strengths/weaknesses of this cultural project closes our work.
