Contribución al estudio de los subproductos de la industria conservera de Murcia en la alimentación animal

Abstract

The aim of this work is the study of the foodstuff resources that provide the by-products for stock in the vegetable canning industry of Murcia. The county area is studied and brought up to date in its substructural aspect and the subsequent agricultural and industrial structures. The knowledge of these aspects will allow us to know the quanty-qualitative importance of the most important by-products from the canning industry, by means of direct and indirect tests to the factories. The most important by-products of the vegetable canning industry in Murcia are: The pit fruits by-products (peach, apricot, etc.). Pip fruits by-products (pear). Vegetable by-products (pea). Horticultural plant by-productos orange and satsuma). They are distinguished from the foodstuff point of view by its high water percentage (nearly 50 p.100). Considering the values of C.P., C.F. and N.F.E. as more common values of its qualification (between 6,5-20 p.100 C.P., `11,3-37,7 p.100 C.F. and N.F.E. from 25,9-76,5 p.100) let us set u the following decreasing order by means of its energetic valuation: 1, Satsuma; 2, Orange; 3, Artichoke; 4, Pea; 5, Tomato; 6, Pepper; 7, Pear. We have also studied the by-products usable parts, production date and the intervals between them and also their destination and valuation. This is all data of great importance as an introduction to the knowledge contained in the afore mentioned theme.

La aportación al conocimiento y valoración de los recursos alimenticios que pueden proporcionar los subproductos de la industria conservera de Murcia a la complementación de la alimentación animal es el objetivo del presente estudio. Dicho trabajo se realiza mediante una introducción al conocimiento del marco provincial en que la industria está ubicada, tanto desde el ángulo infraestructural como del estructural agrario e industrial, actualizando y revisando todos los datos estadísticos correspondientes; en una buena medida inexistentes desde la desaparición de la antigua Organización Sindical, en 1976. La metodología empleada ha hecho uso de fuentes alternativas de consulta y obtención de datos, como son las encuestas directas a la industria, la estadística oficial incompleta y la consulta privada a nivel de personal técnico, con diferencias no superiores a + 5 p.I00. El estudio consiguiente se refiere a la importancia y calificación alimenticia de los subproductos más importantes de la industria conservera marciana, su encuadramiento en grupos afines, su descripción, valor alimenticio, digestibilidad y valor energético correspondiente. Se determinan, igualmente, sus rendimientos globales y específicos y sus épocas de obtención (parámetros de gran interés aplicativo), así como su destino actual y uso de los mismos, valorándolos económicamente y señalando sus problemas futuros.
