Un modelo para caracterizar la justificación de reglas y algoritmos del ámbito numérico - algebraico en libros de texto

Abstract

Se presenta un estudio descriptivo - interpretativo centrado en el análisis de libros de texto de mayor uso en Chile en el período 2001 – 2018, en los niveles de enseñanza escolar, que busca identificar y caracterizar la justificación de reglas y algoritmos en el ámbito numérico – algebraico. Para ello, se elaboró un modelo a priori en base a tres dimensiones: el modo de representación (Enactiva – Icónica – Simbólica) que se utiliza, la cantidad de éstas y su posibilidad de generalizar. La aplicación de estas dimensiones a los libros de texto condujo a ajustar el modelo, lo que posibilitó encontrar nuevos tipos de justificación y estudiar sus tendencias, lo que constituye un aporte en los procesos de selección y análisis de actividades para el aula.

A descriptive-interpretative study is presented centered on the analysis of textbooks of greater use in Chile in the period 2001 - 2018, in the levels of school education, that seeks to identify and characterize the justification of rules and algorithms in the numerical - algebraic scope. For this purpose, an a priori model was developed based on three dimensions: the mode of representation (Enactive - Iconic - Symbolic) that is used, the quantity of these and their possibility of generalizing. The application of these dimensions to textbooks led to the adjustment of the model, which made it possible to find new types of justification and study their trends, which constitutes a contribution in the selection and analysis processes of classroom activities.
