Today, social media platforms are widely used in the development of the educational process; This has urged specialists in the field of education to vieweducation on the basis of social media as one of the most important types of education. This resulted ina strong impact on the effectiveness of the educational process. This current research aims to explore the role of social media in improving teaching. It also tries to highlight the role of social media in improving the performance of teachers and students. The results of the research show the importance of using social media to improve teachers' performance and experiences as it helps them acquire new educational skills. The results also show that it is essential to fully exploitsocial media in teaching in Jerusalem as one of the components of effective e-learning. It also improves teachers’ performance and facilitates the educational process through providing immediate access to information.
