Desde la bioeconomía de Georgescu-Roegen hasta la bioeconomía andeamazónica

Abstract

Revisados los aportes científicos a la Bioeconomía de Nicholas Georgescu-Roegen, renombrado Economista Ecológico y precursor de la Bioeconomía europea, el objetivo general de esta investigación es analizar dichos aportes vinculados con corrientes epistemológicas de América Latina y el Caribe (ALC), que dieron paso a la “Bioeconomía andeamazónica” (BAA). Los objetivos específicos son i) examinar el estado del arte de la bioeconomía, explorando las limitaciones que motivaron la ampliación conceptual de la bioeconomía aplicable al contexto andeamazónico y ii) analizar como las teorías bioeconómicas se integraron efectivamente con principios bioeconómicos, apoyados en tres nuevas variables: biocultura, bioterritorialidad y bioinformación. El material utilizado son libros y artículos de autores clave como Georgescu-Roegen, Dennis y Donella Meadows, Boaventura de Sousa Santos y Alberto Acosta entre otros, complementados por investigadores contemporáneos afines y contrarios a Georgescu-Roegen, incluido uno de los autores de este artículo que impulsó la BAA. Se empleará el método bibliométrico para la pesquisa literaria que permita cumplir con los objetivos específicos y el método deductivo que al ir de lo general a lo particular permitirá inferir conclusiones a partir de las premisas estudiadas en el tránsito bioeconómico desde Georgescu-Roegen hasta la BAA. El resultado y conclusión final del abordaje validará el que la Bioeconomía propuesta por Georgescu-Roegen en los años 70, hoy reaparezca como alternativa viable y ampliada, tanto teórica, como conceptual y metodológicamente, para solucionar problemas complejos como cambio climático, inseguridad alimentaria y enfermedades pandémicas en latitudes como Bolivia, donde fue pertinente incluir categorías culturales, territoriales y de información.

Having reviewed the scientific contributions to the Bioeconomy of Nicholas Georgescu-Roegen, renowned Ecological Economist and precursor of the European Bioeconomy, the general objective of this research is to analyze these contributions linked to epistemologicalcurrents in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), which gave way to the “Andean and Amazon Bioeconomy” (AAB). The specific objectives are i) examine the state of the art of bioeconomics, exploring the limitations that motivated the conceptual expansion of bioeconomics applicable to the Andean-Amazonian context and ii) analyze how bioeconomic theories were effectively integrated with bioeconomic principles, supported by three new variables. : bioculture, bioterritoriality and bioinformation. The material used are books and articles by key authors such as Georgescu-Roegen, Dennis and Donella Meadows, Boaventura de Sousa Santos and Alberto Acosta among others, complemented by contemporary researchers similar to and opposed to Georgescu-Roegen, including one of the authors of this article. that promoted the AAB. The bibliometric method will be used for literary research that allows the specific objectives to be met and the deductive method that, by going from the general to the particular, will allow conclusions to be inferred from the premises studied in the bioeconomic transition from Georgescu-Roegen to the AAB. The final result and conclusion of the approach will validate that the Bioeconomy proposed by Georgescu-Roegen in the 70s, today reappears as a viable and expanded alternative, both theoretically, conceptuallyand methodologically, to solve complex problems such as climate change, food insecurity and diseases. pandemics in latitudes such as Bolivia, where it was pertinent to include cultural, territorial and information categories.
