Análisis y atribución del retablo y las yeserías de la ermita de San Sebastián de Rute

Abstract

El presente trabajo está dedicado a la ermita de San Sebastián ubicada en la localidad cordobesa de Rute. Aunque hasta el momento sus orígenes no estaban bien delimitados y se ignora quiénes fueron los artífices que realizaron las obras de su interior, un estudio detallado nos permitirá revelar algunos datos inéditos acerca de la misma y proceder a contrastar las atribuciones que proponen a Cecilio Antonio Franco Roldán como autor del retablo y las yeserías de su interior. Para dicha investigación se procederá a un análisis histórico-artístico en el que se tendrán en cuenta tanto los registros materiales (documentación de archivo, estudios previos, obras conservadas, etc.), como los de tradición oral.

This paper is devoted to the hermitage of San Sebastian located in the town of Rute in Cordoba. Although until now its origins have not been well defined and it is not known who were the artisans who carried out the works inside it, a detailed study will allow us to reveal some unpublished data about it and to proceed to contrast the attributions that propose Cecilio Antonio Franco Roldan as the author of the altarpiece and the plasterwork of its interior. For this research, a historical-artistic analysis will be carried out, taking into account both the material records (archive documentation, previous studies, preserved works, etc.) such as those of oral tradition.
