La poesia satirica in provincia: i capitoli in terza rima di Giovanni Agostino Caccia (1546)

Abstract

El artículo estudia un grupo de diez tercetos encadenados del poeta de Novara Giovanni Agostino Caccia, contenidos en su antología poética Rime (Venecia, 1549). Se analizan los vínculos existentes entre estas sátiras y las tradiciones precedente y contemporánea al autor del género, prestando especial atención a Antonio Vinciguerra y Ludovico Ariosto. Además se examina la lengua de estas composiciones para compararla con la de la koiné poética del Norte de Italia, con el objetivo de determinar el modo en el que el modelo toscano-literario se había extendido, incluso en una zona culturalmente periférica como la de Novara, perteneciente al Ducado de Milán en aquel entonces.

This article deals with a group of ten satires written by the poet from Novara Giovanni Agostino Caccia, contained in his anthology of poems Rime (Venice, 1549). It analyzes the links between these satires and previous and contemporary traditions of this kind of poetry, paying particular attention to Antonio Vinciguerra and Ludovico Ariosto. In addition, the language of these poems are compared with the poetic language of the North of Italy, with the aim of determining the manner in which the Tuscan-literary model was expanded, even in a culturally peripheral zone such as Novara, at that time belonging to the Duchy of Milan.
