La Formación del PDI en Atención a la Diversidad e Inclusión en las Universidades Españolas. Exploración y Relación entre Variables

Abstract

Este trabajo, que forma parte del Proyecto I+D+i EDU2017-82862-R, explora el posicionamiento actual de la formación del personal docente investigador (PDI) en atención a diversidad (AD) e inclusión y verifica su relación con otras variables relevantes (titularidad y presencia en la normativa). Para ello, participaron 55 universidades (44 públicas y 11 privadas) de las 84 incorporadas en el Registro de Universidades, Centros y Títulos (RUCT, 2019). Se adoptó un planteamiento cuantitativo, ex post-facto y transversal basado en análisis descriptivo e inferencial. Como instrumento se utilizó una Checklist, que integraba los diferentes indicadores que más tarde serían analizados. Finalmente, el estudio revela la escasa formación en AD e inclusión para el PDI dentro del contexto universitario, ofertada en formato de curso y destinada, en su mayoría, al género y la discapacidad. Asimismo, la institución pública muestra una relación ligeramente elevada con la frecuencia de actuaciones formativas y, la presencia de formación en documentos normativos no implica necesariamente un aumento de estas propuestas.

This work, which is part of the project I+D+I EDU2017-82862-R, explores the current situation of the teaching and research staff’s (PDI Spanish acronym ) training in attention to the diversity and inclusion and verifies the relations with other relevant variables (ownership and the presence in the normative). The sample consists of 55 universities (44 public and 11 private) from 84 included in the Register of Universities, Centres and Titles (RUCT Spanish acronym, 2019). Quantitative research, ex post-facto and cross-cutting methods based on the descriptive and inferential analysis of information. We chose a Checklist as the appropriate instrument for the collection of information, which integrated the different indicators or variables that would later be analysed. Finally, the study reveals how the offer about the teaching and research staff’s training in attention to diversity and inclusion is still scarce, manifested in a 'course' format and is aimed at the treatment of certain groups, such as those associated with gender and disability. Furthermore, the public institutions shows a slightly raised with the frecuency of the teaching activities and, the presence of training issues in political documents don’t involve necessary an increase of this proposals.
