Léxico y traducción de textos turísticos en las lenguas española, francesa e inglesa

Abstract

El presente trabajopretende ofrecer un esbozo teórico sobre las principales consideraciones que caracterizan al léxico especializado del Turismo y su relación con los textos turísticos y la traducción de los mismos, con especial atención a las lenguas española, francesa e inglesa. Tras la pertinente introducción, el artículo se centra, en primer lugar,en la complejidad del léxico turístico como lenguaje de especialidad, en segundo, en las características del mismo. Asimismo, se hace referencia a los diferentes géneros textuales, dada la diversidad del sector, así como diferentes niveles de especialización de los términos (concepto, texto, contexto) para finalmente estudiar el fenómeno de la derivación, el abundante uso de siglas y acrónimos, la revitalización de términos tradicionales, el uso de anglicismos o la frecuencia de los sintagmas nominales determinados por adjetivos.

This paper aims to provide a theoretical outline of the main considerations that characterise the specialised lexicon of Tourism and its relationship with tourist texts and translation. We pay special attention to the Spanish, French and English languages. After an introduction, this article focuses, firstly, on the complexity of the tourist lexicon as specialised language, and secondly, on its characteristics. It also refers to the different textual genres, because of the diversity of the sector, as well as to the different specialisation levels of the terms (concept, text, context). Finally, we study the phenomenon of derivation, the extensive use of abbreviations and acronyms, the revitalization of some traditional terms, the use of Anglicisms or the frequency of noun phrases determined by adjectives.
